On tap somwhere! Clear gold beer. Mild sulphur on the nose. Crisp palate, a little dry. Bitterish orange and tangerine, not marmalade, just a pleasant fruity cut. Tiny bit of sulphur. Turns sweeter before the dry finish. Amazingly good flavour for it’s abv.

Cask at the Market Porter, Southwark, 27 January 2010. Bright gold colour, in very good condition. Big spicy, hoppy aroma. Strong floral notes. Dry and less perfumed on the palate. Excellent stuff. An exemplar of what a top notch UK session bitter should be. Shame it seems to be a one-off. Would have liked to try this side by side with the regular Hophead.

Cask at the Cask Pub & Kitchen, London on 27th January 2010. Gold with lacing, lasting white head. Fruity Amarillo hop rules the roost, with a generous burst of bitter/grassy hop notes alongside. A lasting bitter finish, some citric notes, before ending very dry. Lovely, tingling mouthfeel.

Cask. The Rake, London. Golden yellow colour with a white head. Very fruity and citrusy, with typical citrus, oranges and mandarin notes. Also some grassiness. Bitter and dry finish. So tasty and extremely drinkable. A session beer at it´s very best.

Cask in The Rake. Alround rating: Massive tropical fruit nose when pulling this, its fresh and clean and fruity hops are amazing, the base is clearly hophead you couldnt mistake it for anythign else, but its just been taken that bit further. Outstanding!

Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico. Pale golden, small head. Great citrus hop aroma. Very bitter, citrus and some grassiness. A bitter with character.

A Mes rate. Cask cellar run at the Rake, thanks Tom.
Superb clean light gold with a thin white collar. Utterly astounding juicy Amarillo aroma. One of my favourite hops in abundance. Massive fruit and tangerine, loads of orange and hints of sulphur. The flavour follows on in much the same vein. It’s just bloody gorgeous. I could nail a pint in seconds it’s so drinkable. The grass and fruit and sulphur go together beautifully and the finish is slightly drier than the regular version. My god, it really is magnifcent. Dark Star, are you listening? What we need is a blend of this and the Cascade. The best of both worlds. Please, please, please.
