An extremely clean-drinking pale golden ale with a strong floral aroma and elderflower notes from the Cascade hops. This beer is full-bodied and full-flavoured yet gentle enough to make it a favourite session beer.

Graham77 (515) - SCOTLAND - FEB 11, 2017
500ml bottle from M&S. Pours a very hazy straw colour. Aroma is sweet caramel and yeast and the taste is medium sweet with pithy and elderflower notes. Very good light ale.

BeardedAvenger (1273) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2017
Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Hoppy floral aroma. Light gold. White head is on the thin side. A hop bitterness, although there is sweetness seeping through the cracks. Light and watery. A softness to the mouthfeel. Long, if muted, mouthfeel. Decent enough.

Cask Pint at The Trafalgar, South Wimbledon, London in Mar 2010 - Pale yellowy gold in colour. Very Fruity; grapefriuit citrus. Hoppy; grassy and flowery hops. Malty base; caramel, sweet malts. Strong, citrus flowery, grassy, hoppy aroma and taste. Refreshing and flavour packed. Good fruit/hop/malt balance. Sweet leading to a dry hoppy bitter finish. Another great Dark Star beer. (2010-03)

Couple of pints at the Old Fox Telling. Bright Gold with a white mousse of head. Citric and tropical aroma. Grapefruit and tropical flavour, hint of cat pee, digestive biscuit. Zesty palate. Very refreshing.

MelvinKalksma (1827) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 14, 2017

Slight/medium aroma of malts, honey, fruit, hops and citrus.

Clear/hazy golden/amber beer with a slight/medium white head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, honey and fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and citrus.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Decent beer overall that does nothing wrong, but does nothing great at the same time. The aroma could have been stronger though.

johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2016
Bottle. Golden with a small head.Clear appearance and slightly bitter. Not a lot of hops presence which is surprising considering its name. Typical CAMRA type session beer. Boring and bland.

Fatehunter (2640) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - NOV 8, 2016
Pours a finger of head on a hazy straw body. Aroma is grains. Taste is lemon bitterness, dry overall. Texture is softer.

andrepintado (3751) - Porto, PORTUGAL - NOV 2, 2016

Saeglopur (2411) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - OCT 27, 2016
Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, London.
Golden, clear body, with a medium, creamy, lacing, yellowish head.
Aroma of grass, flowers, some hay, citrus, slight tropical fruits, some biscuit.
Tastes of citrus, grass, flowers, grains, some tropical fruits, some biscuit.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, a bit dry, zesty, floral, grassy, a bit fruity, a bit sweet.

Nice one. Very easy and fresh, with some nice grainy notes. Not as much hops as expected though. Not the best style example I’ve had, but a well drinkable one.

I_LUV_BEER (232) - - OCT 13, 2016
Served in a tulip from a 500ml bottle. Pours clear golden colour with virtually no head. Aroma is grass, caramel, floral, hints of honey. Taste is grass, floral, medium bitter with a subtle bitter finish. Thin body with medium carbonation. Very refreshing and quaffable, will make a great session beer indeed!
