Good head, refreshing beer with big hints of pine, lemon and grass, leading to a dry finish. Quite smooth in the palate. Enjoyable beer.

Cask at The Cock Tavern. Pours a gold colour with a thin white head. Very light slightly floral aroma. Light body, not much carbonation. It's a little watery, elderflower comes through solidly, followed by a lemon citrus bitterness. A bit dull. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at Old Red Lion Kennington. Elderflower is subtle and refreshing but the overall impression is a little watery. Enduring dry bitterness. Nice enough on a sunny day.

Pours a slightly hazy lemon yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is dominated by elderflower, some lemon and a touch of malt. Taste follows the nose. Elderflower is really up front followed by a short bitterness and a hint of Saaz hop. Slightly thin mouthfeel but a good summertime beer!

Cask at Akkurat:
Clear, golden colour. Small, bubbly head. Caramel, dried fruit and hops on the nose. Somewhat watery mouth feel. Flavour is hops and lots of elderberries. Long bitterness.

Cask at the Grape and Grain Autumn beer festival, Crystal Palace. Bright yellow pour with a white head. Peach, vanilla and pear aroma. Vanilla, peaches and cream flavour. Almost a dessert in a glass. Very nice indeed.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, London. Tom wisely chose this as my first pour of the afternoon, and right off the bat I was terrifically impressed with Dark Star’s ability to create such complexity and depth in such a low ABV beer. Handsome pour, nice fulsome body, and an understated but intriguing nose. Taste was dry, floral, and quite refreshing but with a modest complexity that was the tits.

Gravity dispense at the 1st Runnymede Beer Festival - 08/09/12. Clear pale golden with a thin white head that soon dissipates. Sweet nose of elderflower, floral hops and a little caramel malt. Herbal tones in the taste and a little spice. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a sweet floral finish.

Cask @ CPK. Pours a light gold color with a discreet white head. The nose is strong elderflower, light white pepper, orchard fruits, white grape. The taste is delicate summery pale malt, sweet apricot. Plenty of elderflower and mildly herbal spice. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Overall, well made, pleasant. I’m not a massive fan of elderflower, but this was a nice co-option of those flavors.

On cask @ CASK Pub & Kitchen, London. This is a near clear golden one with a nice medium sized white head. It smells quite nice also, a bit sweet and lime-acidic with a hint of something light mild floral. The taste is really good! It has a sweetness - almost vanilla sweetness over it, and it’s also softly bitter. So so easy to just quench down. Ends with a hint of perfumed dry soap - but only in a good way. Enjoyable. 22.07.2012
