Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2012
Cask at CBC. It pours very dark ruby, with a decent foamy off-white head. The nose is roasted malt, charcoal, smoke and milk chocolate (but not overpowering). The taste is roasted malt, milk chocolate, chocolate milkshake, tar, tangy fruit, smoke and resin, with a dry-roasted finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and good balance. Thankfully not too sweet. Surprisingly enjoyable. worldbeertaste (1819) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2012
Faint roast and nut smell. Black with a red tint and a thin lacy somewhat lasting head. Slightly frothy medium thin body. Watery. Strong roast bitter start with a bland empy watery finish. Tastes nice but very thin. Frenger (367) - Derby, Alabama, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2012

Cask. Deep brown color with a small light brown head. The nose is quite sweet and fresh, plently of milk chocolate and malt. The taste is very chocolately and sweet, not bitter or dry at all in the finish. Very silky on the tongue, smooth. Medium/light body for the style. Soft carbonation. Overall, a nice, inviting stout. Perhaps a bit too sweet, but very nice. ladnewton (2075) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 13, 2012
Cask at Craft Beer Co on 6th January 2012. Deep ruby with greyish-beige foam and clinging patchy lace. Chocolate and Christmas berries in aroma. Liquid is rich and intensely fruity yet strong chocolate develops which turns milky in the aftertaste. Yorkie(TM) finish! Quite zingy but feel on lips a little oily. Very interesting and enjoyable stout. Rated as a novelty beer.

A few pints on tap at CBC, London. Pours dark brown with a fine, off-white head. Chalky, roasted malt nose, some cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor, dry with chalky baking cocoa, some dark sugar, and moderate roast. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Superbly balanced and in great condition. Cask in the craft. Deep red brown clear beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Sweet chocolate tones with a little tang. Underneath is pleasing red fruits that really round off the beer. Mild minerals. Finishes smooth and semi dry. Really nicely joined up and a pleasant surprise.
Cask at Euston Tap. Dark brown black, thin cream head. Nose of soft roast, dark chocolate, coffee. Similar flavours, mellow and creamy. Slight roast finish. Fantastic. Fin (11069) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2012
Cask, handpump at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London 6th Jan 2012 Black in colour with a slim head. Whilst this has a pleasant roastiness it is more than balanced out by a soft indulgent creaminess, strong maltiness throughout and yet there is a lingering bitterness, the finish is erring towards the dry. Decent chocolate stout, quite rich, creamy and enjoyable and not too sweet. [b> A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov13 3.5
