Harp, London) Dark brown in colour with small off-white head and good lacing. Aroma and taste of caramel malts, hops, and nice nutty toasted undertones. Very good.
Cask pint at Southampton Arms. Beautiful pint - clear deep ruby with a smallish beige-tan lasting creamy/foamy head. Nutty light roast aroma, dry an not at all sweet. Taste follows, some light cola sweetness added with a hint of dry cocoa - no alcohol at all. Light, slick mouthfeel, mild carbonation with a lightning-quick finish, no aftertaste. Lovely starter session pint.

Cask at the Craft Beer Co. It pours dark brown, with a thick foamy beige head and low carbonation. The nose is caramel, wood, leather and chocolate. The taste is sweet caramel, roasted malt, cola, wood, nut, burnt malt, wood, charcoal, coffee and chocolate, with a dry finish. Perhaps a bit thin, but what can you expect from this sort of alcohol percentage? Yet another tasty brew from Dark Star. yespr (45508) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAY 16, 2011
