UPDATED: JUL 9, 2016 My Bottom Line:
Silky cereals merge into poignant citrusy hops, as delicate elderflowers move effortlessly into resinous bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sliver of foam lingers atop the misty gold.
-These guys always develop wonderful cereal flavours, no matter what beer they brew. Amazing.
-Style-wise, you could say this is midway between an American-style Pale Ale and an Golden Bitter. What matters most though is that it is superb.
-The low carbonation and slick mouthfeel make for supreme drinkability.
-Hops also share an orange-like floral character.

On cask at The Tower, in St. Leonards, and by gravity cask at Middle Farm (East Sussex).

Cask ale with multiple hops. Served at the right temperature, this really stimulates the taste buds.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, London on 18th January 2012. Clear amber with white foam head declining to a ring and a fair amount of lacing. Aroma was lemon citric, rich with maltiness and a touch of cheese. Main taste in-mouth was richly hoppy, savoury notes present and intense cheesiness - cheddar. Slight saltiness. Finish very hoppy - grassy and bitter - cheesiness decreasing to leave a delicate lemony finish. Zingy mouthfeel. Absolutely exquisite - one of Dark Star’s best beers in my experience!

Pint at Mason & Taylor. Smells pretty fantastic, immense floral hops. The taste doesn’t quite live up to the nose and so I enjoyed it more while it was cold!

Cask conditioned at The Old Fountain, Old Street, London. Gold with white head. Full on drying hop flavours from the off, flowery, leafy, sneeze inducing on a rich malty body. Demanding on the palate, lots of passion fruit, kiwi fruit notes. Smashing.

Hand pulled cask at the Harp. Almost clear amber/gold with a lively unsparkled whlte head. Massive hoppy aroma and plenty of flavour to follow. Piney resinous bitterness and strong alcoholic sweet malts.

Cask @ Craft. Clear and amber yellow. Citrus hops aroma. Grass, then orangey citrus, lingering bitterness ending in slight marmalade. Like this one!

Can at home. Pours amber in colour with a thick white head. Aroma: bready yeast, caramel, nutty with some pine resin. Taste has a little sweetness with an immediate hit of huge bitterness. Sappy malt background and more caramel, nut and hop, earthy and fragrant. Massive dry and bitter finish that makes you want more but with a rich mouthfeel. Excellent.

Holborn Whippet. A nice English IPA, bitter hops, but with more than a hint of fruit lurking in the background. There was a taste of citrus peel coming through that was verging on the marmalade. This was very good.
