Star, Bishops Stortford. Only pub I went in to during my visit to Bishop Stortford beer festival, this thanks to an elder CAMRA member I walked to the festival with and he had heard of this place. Aroma is quite much wheat beer like (banana, mild spices as well as some citrusy notes), with also some slight earthyness. Flavour is quite fruity, wheaty and mildly earthy.
Cask @ The Rake, Borough SE1. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity yeasty and slightly spicy aroma. Fruity yeasty malty flavor with spicy citrus hints.. Has a fruity yeasty malty finish. omhper (24963) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - APR 21, 2009
Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy pale golden. Grainy nose with ripe banana. sweet and fruity. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Spruce needles and orange mixes with toffee and herbal spices. Some shampoo-like bitterness. An unusually Belgian feel to it for being British - a nice marriage of two beer cultures.

Cask handpull at The Evening Star in Brighton. More of a wheat beer to me than a saison, cloudy gold/orange colour with lasting thin white hed. Very refreshing though. Bit of soap like a Belgian wit on the aroma. Reasonably fruity in mouth, tangerine/orange, touch of herb/spice. Good bit of tingle on the finish. Good intense fruit and spice. Very good wit, not sure it’s a saison. Dedollewaitor (16055) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2011
