On cask at the Evening Star. Smooth floral beginning. Intense earthy concentrated aroma. Dark earthy fruit together with a great round sweetish malty body. Round and intense, moderate bitter, round and great!

RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2015
Bottle Ales by Mail. Caramel dominated red ale. Sweet, almost to the point of excess. The hops only show themselves very late on in the finish. Big medicinal flavour on the tongue, with hints of pine. Not quite what I expected, but a big beer all the same
