Cask. Golden hue with a frothy white head and nice lacing. Earthy, citrusy, and biscuity aromas. Hay, citrus, and dry bitter finish. Lighter body. Muted overall.

It has a good floral aroma, the taste is a light hoppyness (owing to it being a traditonal English ale). The beer is well rounded, very drinkable, and is cheap as chips. Will certainly have another.

Cask handpull, Craft Beer Company, Clerkenwell. 04/04/12. Misted gold with a fluffy, honeycombing white top. Stunning, sweet spliffy aroma; cat piss, lime zest. Stewed sweaty lime and Darjeeling flavour; husk, mandarin. Perfumed and dryingly bitter at once. Really good.

Cask (Oliver Twist, Stockholm) - Golden in colour. Grapefruit, tea and hops in the aroma. Very refreshing taste with notes of lemon, tea, pineapple and grapefruit. Very enjoyable.

Cask @Angleterre. poured clear golden with a frothy white head. Lots of lemon in aroma. Flavor is more lemon and some grapefruits also. Ends dry and bitter. Another excellent ale from Dark Star. Very mild, but refreshing and drinkable.

Fin (10972) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2010
Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival, 16-07-10 Pours gold but a little hazy, white head atop. It was suggested that I gave this one a go by a CAMRA friend of mine who felt that whilst fine this was really quite an underwhelming beer from Dark Star. I tried it and initially agreed, but then I tried again and I think you had to get to know this one a little, it seemed quite subtle and needed time. There were some light lemony frgarances and the mouth had some lemon also but restrained along with a little wheatiness, smooth, and less hoppy than you might like but a good if unexceptional beer. Ethereal (2471) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 10, 2010
Cask at the Cask Pub & Kitchen, 15th June 2010. Rather flat amber. Nose has grain, herbs. Strange taste - there’s grapefruit but also a very mealy flavour. This just didn’t feel right, one to re-rate in future.

ladnewton (2053) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2010
Tap at the Evening Star, Brighton on 31 May 2010. Slightly hazy old with thin part-lacing head. Bitter and citric with coriander kick. Quite a bitter finish with a tangy end on a light mouthfeel.

15th June 2010. Cask & Kitchen. Hazy gold beer. No real head. Wet dog nose. Light dry palate. Sweetish malt with some honeyish orange. Low carbonation. Finishes dry.

Cask at CASK Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico. Hazy golden, small head. Green apples aroma. Biscuit and apples flavours. Good dryness. Quite interesting and fulfilling for its strength.
