Cask.Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, hops, some mild sweet wooden and vanillaish notes. Flavour is quite much the same. A pleasant brew which also is refreshing.

[Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm] Deep golden. Eviden spicy cardamom aroma. Medium sweet with soft, rounded mouthfeel. A touch of old english marmelade adds an interesting twist to the spicy flavour. Finishes with low bitterness.

15th June 2010. Cask & Kitchen. Hazy gold beer. No real head. Wet dog nose. Light dry palate. Sweetish malt with some honeyish orange. Low carbonation. Finishes dry.

Cask handpull at Green Berry, Deal. Gold/orange with thin beige head. Beautifully hoppy beer. Very Dark Star-ry. Stunning spicy hop. Bit of Dark Star yeast on aroma. Piney hops, great resins. Superb. Love the hops. Bit of ginger maybe.

Slightly hazy yellow, small white head. Ginger and honey in the nose. Similar flavor: ginger in the sweetish honeyish base. Not so spicey than their other spicey summer real ale. Some hops in the finish otherwise not much going on in the aftertaste.

Cask (Pullman’s, Helsinki)
Almost green to light gold, white frothy head. Citrus aroma, and some mild grassiness. As you take your first mouthful, you’ll first get some hoppy bitterness, then a huge wash of malt will cover your whole mouth, and finally a second wave of bitterness comes and stays. Perhaps a bit astringent. Many mouthfuls tasted like stuffing - sage and some rosemary.

Cask conditioned at The Rake, Borough Market, London. Gold with white head. This turned out to be beer of the day, sweet hoppiness, refreshing with a gentle citricity, lemony note. Easy and very decent indeed. I’m glad I insisted on glass rather than the proffered plastic to drink it from.

Shady pale yellow color, white head. Fruity, citrus hoppy and sweet taste. Fresh hoppy scent. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium bitterness. Very drinkable.

Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival, 16-07-10 Pours gold but a little hazy, white head atop. It was suggested that I gave this one a go by a CAMRA friend of mine who felt that whilst fine this was really quite an underwhelming beer from Dark Star. I tried it and initially agreed, but then I tried again and I think you had to get to know this one a little, it seemed quite subtle and needed time. There were some light lemony frgarances and the mouth had some lemon also but restrained along with a little wheatiness, smooth, and less hoppy than you might like but a good if unexceptional beer. Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a thin creamy head. Fruity aroma and taste, medium-full bodied.
