Clear golden beer with a few bubbles and a frothy head. Smells of hop and slight citrus. Flavour isn’t particularly strong of anything really. The hop is there still with a zesty tang to it but there’s not a lot else going on. The finish is quite dry and pleasant though.

Bottle from Morrisons Carterton, decent all round beer. Some grapefruit, a slightly bitter finish. Fresh, sharp taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A dark golden ale with plenty of bitter hops. A nice colour, good head and a very thirst quenching beer.

Bottle at home. Loved the powerful hoppy flavour of the ale but found it a bit too bitter for a golden, prefer mine lighter.

Bottle. Yellowy Gold in colour. Small head. Fruity; tangy lemon and grapefruit citrus. Hoppy; grassy hops. Malty; biscuity malts, light caramel. Moderately bitter citrus fruity and dry throughout. Refreshing. Easy drinking. (2015-05-21)

Porzadne one złociste Ale. Prawie jak Bitter, jasna zlota barwa, leciutko mglista bardzo mala piana na dwa palce. Zapach olejkow aromator do wypiekow ciasta drożdżowego, A w smaku totalna goryczkowa bomba. Dla wytrawnych piwoszy zdecydowanie, piwo tak zbombardowane chmielem ze ma się wrazenie jakby nie było w nim wogole slodu

Pours golden in colour with a thin white head. Deep aroma of bready yeast, malt and funky hop, pungent and aromatic at the same time. Initial sweetness gives way immediately to a huge bitterness. Rich mouthfeel of juicy malt with a vanilla background, citrus tastes and a long, dry finish. Gently carbonated and dangerously drinkable. Great.

Bottle, Morrisons, 15/01/2016 Spring elderflower taste. Well carbonated. Excellent condition. Some slight grassy notes. White grape. Low acid. Clean. Easy-drinking. Great spring ale. I really don’t think this can be bettered for the style. It can go bad easily if kept hot hence why ratings are low and I really don’t understand the low ratings as this is exactly what you want for a spring/golden ale. Great hop combination. Super soft malts. Super clean. CO2 in the tank. Excellent.
