Simple malty aroma, wholemeal bread, some fruity esters. Bright gold, but with a huge persistent spongy head. Medium palate, pleasant carbonation. Malty, bready, even nutty taste, some slightly harsh minerally bitter hopping, later more sweetness in the malts. Does have a kinda Shepherd Neame feel to it in some ways, such as that harshness. Finish is bitingly bitter. Pleasant enough hoppy golden ale, but not up to what I expect from Dark Star (most of which I've had as real ales).
Nice head that hung around.
A little bread and marmalade, with a dry pleasing finish.
Nice. worky8t3 (3) - - MAY 23, 2017 does not count
Bottle from Morrisons Carterton, decent all round beer. Some grapefruit, a slightly bitter finish. Fresh, sharp taste.

A dark golden ale with plenty of bitter hops. A nice colour, good head and a very thirst quenching beer. thejackpacker (526) - East Sussex, ENGLAND - FEB 9, 2017
Bottle at home. Loved the powerful hoppy flavour of the ale but found it a bit too bitter for a golden, prefer mine lighter.

Porzadne one złociste Ale. Prawie jak Bitter, jasna zlota barwa, leciutko mglista bardzo mala piana na dwa palce. Zapach olejkow aromator do wypiekow ciasta drożdżowego, A w smaku totalna goryczkowa bomba. Dla wytrawnych piwoszy zdecydowanie, piwo tak zbombardowane chmielem ze ma się wrazenie jakby nie było w nim wogole slodu nilsas (4296) - Bryne, NORWAY - JUN 30, 2016
