Cask at The Congress, Longton. A clear deep amber colour with thin off white head. Aroma of red berries, caramel, some cherry and subtle herbal hops. Taste of red berries, caramel, some cherry, slight brown sugar, subtle ginger and herbal hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dry, malty finish with a slight herbal hop bitterness in the aftertaste. A full bodied malty premium bitter, the ingredients are interesting but the beer doesn’t quite work well enough for me. Ok. Cask at local bar in Brighton. Clear dark amber with almost no head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice herbal bitterness with some sweet tones. Caramel, clove, brown sugar, malts, flower, spices and herbs. A tasty seasonal. (25/1/2015) ianwelby (1525) - SCOTLAND - DEC 2, 2015
Amber beer with a thin white head and bittersweet smell. Flavour is basically of light fruit but there’s a sickly hit of cinnamon as well and leaves a sort of weird, claggy aftertaste. Not bad but I wouldn’t dash back to it. olliejobbins (1577) - Dorking, Surrey, ENGLAND - JAN 26, 2015

Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, grass, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was earthy and bitter. Aroma was a bit weird but the taste was nicely balanced. jookos (7042) - FINLAND - DEC 22, 2014
