Cask in Draft House Charlotte. Ruddy brown beer with thin white foam. Very full flavour, nutty malt, bittersweet taste, lots of hops, spice - ginger - works well, not overly dominant. Long bitter finish. Great wintry pint.

Cask at The Congress, Longton. A clear deep amber colour with thin off white head. Aroma of red berries, caramel, some cherry and subtle herbal hops. Taste of red berries, caramel, some cherry, slight brown sugar, subtle ginger and herbal hops. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dry, malty finish with a slight herbal hop bitterness in the aftertaste. A full bodied malty premium bitter, the ingredients are interesting but the beer doesnt quite work well enough for me. Ok.

Amber beer with a thin white head and bittersweet smell. Flavour is basically of light fruit but theres a sickly hit of cinnamon as well and leaves a sort of weird, claggy aftertaste. Not bad but I wouldnt dash back to it.

(Cask at Viisi Penni, 20150109) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small, white and it lasted long. Aroma had malts, molasses and sulphur. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, grass, earth and bitterness. Aftertaste was earthy and bitter. Aroma was a bit weird but the taste was nicely balanced.
