UPDATED: MAR 31, 2013 Bottle (5-31-2012)… Pours Longhorn orange with a small, fizzy, short-lived head. The nose furnishes big-time funkiness, mild fruitiness and light maltiness – cherries and toffee really standout here. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor presents loads of brett dryness, hints of caramel and toffee maltiness, a trace of cherry and apple fruitiness and no acidity. Finishes clean and dry. Over-attenuated and lacks acidity, but enjoyable overall. Not much of a Flanders red. More like Orval, but less interesting. Errl (2577) - Plano, Texas, USA - JUL 18, 2012

Reddish pour, white head. Vinegar, tart fruits, sweet tarts, yeast and cherry notes. Flavor is sour, fruity and a bit juicy. Finishes with a great sourness and funk. drowland (9184) - Georgia, USA - JUL 9, 2012
7/7/12. Bottle shared at my going away tasting by myself (via trade from ericandersnavy!) Eric told me that the brewer said to age this for about a year, and it’s been about that long, I think. Red pour with a huge khaki head. The aroma shows oak, sugars, a bit of funk, yeast, and tartness. Surprisingly dry taste that is also a bit light. A touch of manure and funkiness in there with bits of cherry. Not bad! rbrazell (1763) - Florida, USA - JUL 7, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2012 Thanks Danny! Pours a deep amber with a large fluffy white head. Nose has vinegar, wood, funk, and touch of fruit.Flavor is pretty much with more sourness and ends tart.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a light amber color with a white head. The aroma is full of a lot of toffee with a little bit of dark fruit mixed in. There is not much sourness in the aroma.
The flavor has a little bit of funk in it, as well as some toffee and cherry notes. There is not too much sourness or tartness, but the funk adds some nice qualities to the beer.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. blutt59 (6598) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 4, 2011

First one to rate this, woo hoo! Bottle from the Root Cellar Cafe. This beer pours a dark rich amber/red with a thin off white head. The aromas are old church, musk and leather and cola and paint. The mouthfeel is very lively and slightly sticky with a very slight bitterness and medium body. This was a nice beer. Cheers!
