Bit of a foamer. More dark murky brown than black. Nose is dusty. Dark fruit, light roast, malt. Flavor much the same with a hint of funk. Prickly thin feel. Not really a fan.

500ml bottle: A dark ale that has hints of coffee. Medium bitterness, medium body and medium carbonation. Overall a very pleasant dark beer.

Bottle. This is a pretty sub par porter. But it is also one of the only porters brewed in southern Africa.

northropfrye (3689) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 7, 2015
Dark but not opaque . On tap at Dizzy’s Camps Bay . Molasses snd brown sugar on the nose. Sweet malty dried fruit in tee taste. A bit too one dimensionally sweet but okay overall

Reddish brown to black pour with a short-lived coffee coloured head. Nose is of cheap chocolate and plastic, with a hint of hops. In the mouth it all falls apart. There’s a thin salty taste and a sourness that’s out of place and made me think it was faulty - but everyone of this brewery’s beers taste faulty. Milk chocolate, burnt malts, bitterness way out of kilter with the malt profile. At this point I’d just suggest that people steer clear of this brewery as they’re either careless or incompetent - either way, they make bad beer.

Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Poured a hazy medium brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is light malt, caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter with a creamy malt, red berry fruit palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
