Bottle, 500ml. A clear pale straw colour with no head. Aroma of fresh grassy hops, a little citrus. Flavour is a little hoppy with citrus, a little malt and caramel. Watery on the palate. Moderate carbonation. Slight bitterness in the finish. Not an IPA and not interesting as a bitter.

One thing which is really annoying me about London is the fact there are so many beers labeled as ’IPA’ which are in fact Bitter’s. This is one of them. Very caramelised nose and malt driven. Slightly nutty with hints of lemon zest. Taste is quite biscuity with loads of lemon and lime, light pepper, lemon rind. Clean and balanced is a plus. Just doesn’t do it for me considering what I was expecting

Bottled 12/08/13. An orange gold coloured beer with pretty much no head. Definite Goldings fruity character with a bit of sticky malt. Pretty tasty and well brewed although the nose does have a fusty character.

Gentle malty nose with not much hops to speak of. Pours slightly muddy gold with a bit of a dishwatery vibe. The taste is ok - pleasant bitterness and a nice hoppy finish but sadly the whole is slightly undermined by a wateryness and a thinness in the mouthfeel. In summary it’s a fine example of a session bitter, but as they’ve badged it as an IPA I’ll assess it on those terms and it falls short.

Cask. Golden yellow. Dense white head that stays and laces. Aroma is light. Grassy and hint of citrus Taste is slightly sweet floral start with hop bitterness at the end. Pleasant enough but it is a bitter - no way an IPA

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, hay - grass, moderate hoppy, dry grass - hay, light citrus. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120810]

Weak and mild Indian Pale Ale style ale. It has little to no flavour at all.
