Poured up at GABF 2012 with a clear copper body that supports a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma is sort of plums and red apples and black pepper and then some banana in the back end of the draw. So the taste comes off pretty normal for the style with sweet esters coming from ripe red apples and plums and then becoming molasses covered prunes that isn’t that strong but bridges the gap between the sweet ester start and the pepperiness nearing the end where I also get some yeasty Belgian like spices surrounded by a thin ring of banana notes.
4 oz. pour, on tap at Bottlenose Brewing brewpub in Jacksonville, Florida. Consumed on 6-2-17. Light to medium brown. Amber hue. Insufficient head. Chocolate and carob scents. Nice, chocolate, carob, and carrot flavors. Not highly Belgian in yeast but still good. There is some bubblegum. Tallahassee, Fl - Proof Production facility - on tap. Dark brown pour, khaki colored head, decent lacing. Nuttiness in the aroma, touch of brown sugar. Draft at World of Beer. Dark brown/ dirty color. Aroma is yeast, caramel, English toffee, clove. Flavor is kind of like a Dubbel, dark fruit, Belgain yeast, cloves and far I say... Bubblegum? The dreaded bubblegum reference!! Good but kind of all over the place.

On tap at brewery. Having spent years in Germany, like the Brewmaster, Jorge, I immediately recognized his inspiration. I can appreciate the attempt to duplicate the weissen bock. The nose is clove, toasted malt, and banana. The taste follows suit. The addition of plantain makes the banana more vegetal, than banana ester, but it is a nice homage to a great beer style. Nicely done.

Tap sample. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted sweet malt, yeast and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.
