At hibachi with coworkers. Not the clearest pour for style. Nose is decent fruit. Tastes of honey dew, green apple, pear, little vanilla bean. Touch or harshness on palate not quite as smooth a daiginjo as you’d like. Still quite tasty. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2016
Poured like a sake ... some honey, rice, and the smell and lighter taste of alcohol. mar (5406) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 27, 2015
Clear with a hint of yellow from the honey I assume? Honey, florals, pear, green apple and sweet. Smooth palate, light alcohol, green apple, pear, viscous, no sign of alcohol in finish. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 25, 2012

Bottle 720ml. @ [ The Pool Tabel Tasting in Rome ].
Crystal clear water colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy rice, fruity, citrus and honey notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, young fruit, apple - pineapple - lemon. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat.
300ml bottle at Ippudo. A surprisingly nice sake at an affordable price ($19 at the restaurant), with full, rich flavors and nice complexity. Lovely honeydew, lemon aroma, a touch sweet and very natural, like a meadow on a crisp spring day. Bright flavor, with lemongrass and melon apparent. Has a bit of vodka burn in the finish, making it a bit hard to drink. Very smooth, still.
Note, I have no idea what the hell is going on with the name "Otter Fest 50," but that is what it says on the back label...
