This one looks like an appetizing stout, with a dark brown body, and a fluffy white head. Great semi-sweet chocolate aroma, with hints of vanilla. Chewy mouthfeel, and a little bit of sweetness in the flavor is a great tease. Very creamy.

Draft, Tap NY. Thanks to the brewer for bringing over a full cup to taste. Found this smooth, dark, and creamy. Chocolate and roast dominate. Very easy to drink.

Had this one on draught in Glens Falls, New York. Deep black, nearly opaque color with a thick, brown head, nose of coffee, very complex taste with notes of apricot, bitter chocolate, and amaretto with a very soft finish. An outstanding sweet stout.

On tap at the brewpub with a 5oz sample. Aroma is chocolatey and mildly smoked and milky. A bit of peatiness is also present. Very nice aroma. Moderately-mostly opaque dark brown/black color with a light tan head. Dark chocolatey smooth bitter finish. Nice mouthfeel with a bit of coffee. A very nice stout.

Roasted malts; leathery taste. Soft caramel notes in flavor and even more in the aroma. Silky feel, velvety. Soft tobacco notes. A hella dry beer with a nice soft finish.

Draught poured as part of sampler at the brewpub. Poured black with a thick off white head. Malty richness in the flavor with caramel notes. Thick, creamy head with a solid bodied beer. Significant contrast to the other brews at this brewery.

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown pour with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla, faint roasted malt and bitter chocolate. Medium body with a nice creamy slightly sweet finish.

Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 4, 2003
Pours with a dark brown to black body topped by a medium thick to thick tan head that leaves lots of lace. Slightly sweet yet bitter malt aroma with a touch of hoppiness and smokiness. Smokey roasted malt flavor with a slight coffee character. Full bodied, relatively smooth with a touch of dryness.

notalush (5874) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 28, 2004
An above average oatmeal stout - opaque, but nearly no head - decent tan lacing, though - roasted oat aroma with a touch of hops - medium bodied with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel - flavor is dominated by dark roast coffee, starts sweet and then gets some espresso bitterness (as others have noted) - hints of dark fruit - long finish - nice.
