Stumbled on this a while back - really surprised that there are only two other ratings, the Davis Co-Op has an impressive beer selection. Anywho, this bottle isn’t too special. Clean malt and some decent hop flavor with nice bitterness. The body is rather empty with a very dry finish. Stays clean and classy, but also stays average. marcus (10889) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle from Davis Co-op. Pours cloudy amber with a decent beige head and a citrus and toffee aroma. There is a raspy roasted malt flavor with a dry pine-like finish. bhensonb (15985) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 30, 2012
Bomber from the Davis Food Co-Op. Pours copper with an off-white head. Aroma seems to be mild roast malt with a pretty good dose of resin. Med + body. Flavor is fairly hoppy to start, but then a roast malt comes out. I’m going with resin for hop. But it’s also somewhat spicy. Perhaps a non-standard hop. Really impressive amber.
