A 90s favorite that seemed to have taken the rarest of the back-seats in recent years, Affordable 3.5% beer meaning you dont risk a nasty hangover the following day, No longer do they sell in the 500ml cans but just the standard 12x 330ml boxes (av. $14 doz.)

Dull and foamy and all around boring. But at least it doesnt have the nasty taste that accompanies most mainstream beers

It smells sweet, strange. The taste is watery, bit foamy, sweet. Boring and almost tasteless.

330ml can from The Beer Cellar. Rating from April 2013. Basic grain aroma, beer is thin and watery and lacks flavour.

Not a beer I recall as being significantly bitter oddly enough. Same colour as mainstream draught in New Zealand, same flavour. Colourful packaging and sponsorship of a rugby league team made this popular for a while. I’m not I’ve seen it for a while. Anyway, since when was 3.5% abv full strength beer?

Didn’t realise 3.5% was considered to be "full strength". Sweet cardboard nose, and pours a dark amber. For the price this beer is better than a lot of others out there, but definitely a working mans beer.

It’s a bitter version of export which makes it slightly better or bitter. Also rarely avalible now ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. I recently rated Southern Draught (another NZ dark lager) and said that "among its peers, not bad". Well, this beer is one of its peers, and it actually makes me think I may have UNDER-RATED Southern Draught! There isn’t any of the toastiness that made SD somewhat palatable. Instead there is a weak caramel and apple flavour, marred by a slightly stinky wet-dishragginess. This is truly poor by any standard.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, while the flavor is sweet and mainly malty with a bitter finish. The body is thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Clear golden with medium off white head. Sweet malty aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Flavor is fruity with caramel notes.
