Tap at P St Whole Foods. Pours full haze deep maroon. Medium creamy beige head. Nose is pumpkin spice, lemon, nutmeg, sharp tea flavors, green olives. Serving: Draft at Fireworks Leesburg. Cloudy brown pour with a thin tan head. The nose is pumpkin, light molasses, earth and a good bit of roasted malt. The flavor seems to emphasize the gourd up front with dark caramel, light molasses and finishes with a slight earthy bitterness. Medium bodied. Growler straight from the brewery. A murky deep mahogany pour with a smallish creamy mocha head. A lovely autumnal aroma. Nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, pumpkin pie, coffee, cola, and caramel maltiness dominate. Medium-bodied and pretty smooth on the way down. Very light caramel upfront in the taste. Some bitter dark chocolate and cocoa powder follows. Cola in the middle. Finishes with some roasty black coffee bitterness. A tad dry. Draft at Churchkey. 99.9% certain this is the DC Brau version. Poured a near-pitch black color with a off-white (tan/medium-brown) head. Aroma was creamy sweet notes - I’d say a tad latic, with notes of squash/pumpkin. Roasted malts, creamy bitter-sweet chocolates.

Very small tan head into a black beer with ruby tinges. Smell is very nice, buttered pumpkin, cinnamon/spice cake, vanilla. Slight booziness. Taste is lots of woodiness and vanilla.
