COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yonder Cities" is a collaborative beer between DC Brau and Union Brewing of Baltimore. This Farmhouse IPA is quite the standout with its beautiful balance of malt, hops and yeast. Jeff and Kevin worked hard to craft a beer with a spicy yeast character and a bright vivid hop profile. Simcoe and and Citra hops bring white grapefruit, juicy nectarine and zesty lemon peel to the nose and palate while the proprietary saison yeast balances peppery earth tones with a crisp tart finish. There are two version of this beer. One brewed at Union and one brewed at DC Brau. The only difference being base malts. We used Pilsner Malt and Union used 2 row.

Definitely get the malts and hops in this with some hints of lemon. Should have gotten a few more cans of this.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy, straw gold with some fluffy white head. Nice spicy, earthy nose, dried orange peel, lemon peel, orange soda, white peppercorns, straw, yeast. Flavor is very nice, lightly sweet, very spicy, white pepper, candy sugar, a little coriander, dried lemon peel, orange zest, hay, some nice zippy scallion. Assertively hopped without being offensive. Dry, refreshing finish.

Draft at the source. Cloudy pale yellow color, small white head. Nice aroma of citrus, pineapple, grapefruit. Taste is more like a saison, with slight barnyard fruit and straw, but then the bitter finish kicks in, and were back to IPA territory. A very nice journey.

Growler straight from the brewery. Pours an incandescent hazy straw color with a thick & fluffy off-white head. The incredibly appetizing aroma features lots of pineapple, grapefruit, Mandarin oranges, zesty citrus rinds, an herbaceousness, cumin, and pepper. Goes down medium-bodied. Light caramel and a touch of bubblegum upfront taste-wise. Biscuity qualities and touches of creamy vanilla in the middle. Juicy oranges, grapefruits, and a zesty citrus rind tanginess at the end. A big peppery finish. A fair amount of spice and alcohol warmth throughout. Delicious!

Draft at Jack Rose Dining Saloon for CBC 2017. Poured a hazy yellow-orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was toasted malts, roasted character, light citrus, some sweet grains. Grape, citrus, grain notes are pleasant. Really nice funky barnhouse notes that come through are pleasant, with a nice hop, lemon peel notes. Light tartness comes through. Finally after so many years Ive had this one.
