COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We crafted our fond farewell to summer as a collaboration with John Solomon and Chris Frashier. The pair are well known for their fine (and tasty!) work at Old Dominion in Ashburn, VA, during the mid 90’s.

"EL HEFE SPEAKS!" is a traditionally brewed German-style Hefe. It is fermented around 65° F and hopped with German Tettnang hops. 11 IBUs and 5.3% ABV make this one extremely drinkable. Perfect for the start of September.

12 ounce bottle from Tavour poured into a tulip glass. The beer is a hazy gold with a white head of foam. The aroma has light banana and a bit of coriander. Sweet and fruity taste. The banana stands out again. Moderately sweet. Medium body and medium carbonation. Decent overall.

From the tap at Shenanigans in OCMD. Extremely refreshing after walking the boardwalk. Slight aroma of banana and clove. Wanted more aroma. Great traditional hefe flavors. Would purchase and drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Six pack of cans from CT. Pours out a clear light golden color. Lacy white head settles to nothing. Classic banana and clove aromas and flavors. Thin body but otherwise tasty and drinkable.

Pour out of 12 oz can, hazy golden orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought biscuit, bread, grain, some slight white fruit, hints of banana, clove, slight grassy notes. Taste was a mix of grass, biscuit, bread, hints of white fruit, grain, slight banana, finishing slightly sweet, yeasty. Just ok.

Pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow color with a frothy, two finger white head that very slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Very light colored for the style and possibly over carbonated. The pillowy white head takes forever to finally settle leaving chunks of soapy lacing behind. Spicy aroma with a strong peppery clove presence that’s followed by earthy hops, bready yeast, malted wheat and ain’t light fruit. The clove character dominates the nose and overpowers most of the other wheat beer notes. Underneath, there are some stale, soil-y hops, bread, bubblegum, banana and apple. No citrus character or much else of interest in the nose. Other than the clove, the aroma is kind of bland. Light bodied and a bit more interesting than the nose suggests but still somewhat pedestrian. Some dry, earthy clove and zesty citrus rind countered by bread, wheat and banana. Finishes with earthy hop bitterness that is fresher and more flavorful than the hop presence in the nose hinted at. The citrus character which was missing in the aroma shows up strong in the flavor with slightly tart lemon juice and zesty lemon pith. The flavor and mouthfeel fall off mid-palate resulting in a watered down, mediocre beer. Very easy to drink but not all that interesting.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can, canned on April 28, 2015. Slightly hazy light orange with little head. Aroma is nice clove, medium body, low carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is rich nice clove. I would love to get one fresher with better carbonation.
