Cask at churchkey...impressive. Has some very light, subtle sweetness, some fruity aroma, but mostly it’s a super dry bitter DIPA. Dry, bittering, citrus, and a bit of a palate wrecker. Very good. radagast83 (8072) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Cask at Churchkey. Poured a deep, dark orange with a wispy off-white head. Aroma was pungent hops, with some notes of honey and tropical fruits. Flavor was dry tropical fruit notes, with some light fruits and pungent hops. Alcohol is definitely there, but it is pretty well masked on the finish. nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 22, 2012
On cask at Churchkey. Pours a very hazy orange with some clumpy, white head. Plenty of lychee in the nose, fruity, citrus, pine, very inviting. Hoppy and fruity right up front. The lychee fades a bit in the flavor, more citrus, grass, grapefruit, pine, light perfume. Full bodied, bitter finish. Not as clean as regular Wings. Cask. Cloudy light golden color, small off white head. Aroma of subdues pine. Tasteis very bitter and resinous. I like the original better I think. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Cask at CK thanks to Travlr. Pours a full haze, dark peach pour. Medium, white head. Spotty lace. Nose is fairly tropical, some detergent. Taste is spicy, boozy, vanilla, candied orange, moving to some very intense aggressive nutty bitterness. Palate is chalky, mealy, powdery. No lychee, though the taste of that fruit is subtle and needs an insane amount added to come forward.
