aroma is citrus with a light floral, the palate is amazing and is a beer that has to be sipped on. Overall this is one of the better double ipa’s I have had. GenDV138 (7470) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Can (12/27/13 batch) poured into a tulip style goblet. Pours a nice dark gold almost amber color with lots of tiny floaters and about a finger of off-white head, nice lacing. Aromas of citrus, dank, floral, pine/resin, light tropical fruit. Tasting notes of big grapefruit citrus, dank, pine/resin, floral and piney hops. Nice hop kick on the finish. Medium body with a bitter and semi-dry finish, juicy mouthfeel. Pretty smooth for the ABV.Bbullock17 (3) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - FEB 21, 2014 does not count
Had this a day after it was canned and I don’t notice much change since then, holds up very well. Definitely my favorite from DC Brau and it ranks up there with Pliny and Heady in my opinion.
Elite Imperial IPA, strong citrus full body with smooth hoppy finish. Much better from the can the the growler.

Hoppy, piney or herbal aromas. Dry, herbal, sweet caramel or honey notes. Round, smooth, velvet body. Oh so good. Emeister84 (2505) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JAN 4, 2013
Aromas of piney and floral hops, with some redolence of tropical fruits, and subtle caramel malts. Appearance is orange with white head foam. Taste has very light malty sweetness, with hop freshness and bitterness in the forefront, but a very well-balanced beer that covers up the ABV very nicely. The palate is full-bodied with lively carbonation, and the finish is moderately long displaying piney and citrusy hops atop a nice malty backbone.

355 ml. can thx! to Travlr. 3 weeks old. Drank straight from the can as appropriate, so no appearance part of review. Grapefruit, white grape hops in the nose, light spice, lovely yeast, bitter fruity, nice,… Very bitter grapefruit, pine, light earthly hops, light bitter spice, almost touch honey, bitter hop flowers, light nectar, light threes, light nectar,… Excellent carbonation. Utterly delicious. WanderinCelt87 (197) - Hamburg, New Jersey, USA - APR 22, 2015
Pour from a can is a nice hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is floral with subtle hints of pine. Taste is sweet at first followed by a slight bitterness followed by a dry and bitter after taste. Goes down with a sweetness and slight but leaves a dry pine after taste. MetalNHopHead (2055) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - SEP 8, 2015
A badass name and a badass can do not necessarily make for a badass beer. Although On the Wings of Armageddon has both, nothing can compare to awesomeness lurking inside the aluminium. This Imperial IPA pours a hazy orange with a modest, even head. Aroma has tropical hops and an impressive malt bill. The latter element is crucial. You need a lot of malt to keep 115 IBU’s from being crushing. It works remarkably well. Yes, this brew is resinous and crisp. However, you get far more than just bitterness. Grass, sticky nectar, tropical fruit - all in big portions. Finish is super dry with lingering sweetness. For an extra jolt of apocalyptic chaos, I paired On the Wings of Armageddon with Napalm Death’s "On the Brink of Extinction." Highly recommended. tsd08460 (1209) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - JAN 28, 2016
