Penn Quarter Porter is our first in a line of draft-only limited-release beer, and its a robust porter! In the way that The Public is on the line between a pale ale and an IPA, this is on the line between a porter and a stout - with chocolate notes and a dry, roasted finish.

12oz can, purchased from Perfect Pour. Canned 3/11/14. Pours a black, or very dark brown color. Foaming, bigger airy-brown head. Awesome loose splotches of lace. Awesome heavy roast, dark chocolate, and big coffee flavors to this. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of soft, moderate carbonation. Light chewiness to the texture. Good long roasty coffee aroma in the finish. Some good earthy hop to it. Moderate bitter, moderate sweet taste. Solid, flavorful porter. Definitely stands out. Texture is a little soft, though, with stronger carbonation. Good one to enjoy with my sandwich, overall.

Can:   Big chocolate roasty nose, somewhat sweet, also like a dark chocolate that is more bitter sweet.   A little dry and chalky.   Fairly robust.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Roasty finish, sweet, some dark chocolate notes.   Simple yet solid Porter!   Low hop bitterness.   Thanks Brad!

Can. Pours black with a thin mocha ring. The aroma is sweet malt, light bourbon, oak, and vanilla. The taste adds smoke, charred malt on the finish, marshmallow in the middle, and light chocolate up front. I'm pleasantly surprised by how good this is. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black pour with a nice creamy layer of beige head and light sticky lacing .... aroma of mostly dark chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla and caramel malts ..... taste is of heavy dark chocolate, bitter roasted malts, light vanilla and caramel malts ..... has a nice stout mouthfeel and the chocolatey flavors are rich and silky/oily ..... definitely a lovely and very sessionable porter for the ABV, but drinks likes a medium to full bodied stout ..... finish is dusty and chocolatey ... loved it

Can poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting creamy brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, dark roast coffee and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate and light coffee with a smooth lingering dark chocolate finish.

Can. Pitch black with a thick solid tan head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt with a hint of smoke. Taste follows suit and adds light vanilla, coffee and soy sauce notes. Rich mouthfeel with strong carb for the style. Really good.

Can. Pours dark brown with big, pillowy tan head. Decent retention and some lace. Aroma is roasted, nutty malt, toffee and caramelized sugar, dark chocolate. Flavor is toasted, toffee, and lightly roasted malt, fading into a big chocolatey, heavily roasted, caramel finish. RIch and roasted. Soft carbonation, medium body, and smooth texture.
