UPDATED: MAY 3, 2015 Bomber into snifter glass. Deep brown color with a finger of brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, and dark coffee. Some dark fruit and some vanilla notes. Taste is the aroma, roasted malt sweetness with some smokiness character. Balanced with faint bitter hops. Medium mouth-feel, oily, smooth and creamy. Lasting coffee and bitter hop aftertaste. Very good stuff, add this to the canning line.

Tap at Finn & Porter in the Embassy Suites Convention Center in D. C. Pours dark brown with a darkish tan head. Aroma of chocolate and not excessively toasty dark malt. Med + body. Flavor is very nice. Good chocolate and the malt is right where a porter should have it. This is what I like in the style, and do not frequently get. Good stuff.

22 oz. bottle from seeswo - thanks, Chris! 2012 vintage. Uh, thanks? Pours a deep, dark, opaque coffee brown with a finger of dark tan head that settles into a lighter tan ring and a wee bit of film. Looks great. Showing oxidation, along with chocolate, light roast, earth, tobacco, toasted sugars, and coffee. Light-medium bodied, albeit thinned over time, with a dry, roasty mouthfeel. A little oxidized on the palate, with a hint of umami. Not bad for the age, actually. But would obviously be better fresh. Beerdedone (3408) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 19, 2017
