Golden-orange, thin eggshell head, film that stays. Aroma is strong lemony evergreen (refreshing), toasted malt, touch of light caramel and grapefruit, hint of tropical fruit (passion fruit). Body is medium-light, oily, with some gritty texture, moderate coarseness and soft in carbonation. Flavor is bitter pine, nutty pine nuts, slightly astringent, citrus rind. Quite astringent after a while. Overall: too harsh/bitter, otherwise a good pine-oriented IPA. deyholla (11486) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 28, 2016
Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a clear deep amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a musty grains with an earthy grass and a bit of a pine bite coming through. Flavor is similar with lots earthy grains, musty pine, some grass and a bit of bitterness. thepatrickman (1307) - Durham, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 17, 2016
Good IPA with some somewhat interesting citrus and pine aromas. Overall, though, it just struck me as straightforward and drinkable, an IPA that Iíd be happy to drink at a bar or a ballpark without thinking too much about it. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2016
Cheers Gene for leaving a 355ml can. Shared on 26th Jan 2016 at a Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting. Misty dull orange body, off-white head. Piny hops all the way with this beer, dominate both the nose and taste. Some citrus notes also within the flavour. minutemat (5396) - Shrewsbury, Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2016
355ml Can @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, Jan 16, courtesy of the illustrious Gene Travlr. Many thanks. Pours amber with a light mist and creamy off-white head. Aroma is pine and grapefruit. Bitter pine and syrup hop in the taste. Decent hoppy IPA.

12 ounce can. Hazy orange Amber pour. Moderate frothy beige head. Piney hop nose. Toasted malt with grainy notes. More pine hops mixed with citrus peel. Bittersweet and bready, but easy to drink. Some nuttiness in finish. nealblind (1849) - Seattle, Alabama, USA - JAN 7, 2016
Gold orange pour. Aroma bread. Tastes orange wheat. Firm orange peel bitter. Satisfying and balanced. Light carb True east coast ipa. corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Pours a slightly hazy, dark golden copper with apricot edges and a 1.5 finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Decent retention with streaks of soapy lacing left behind. A little dark for the style and looks exactly like their pale ale. I donít even think the head brewer could tell them apart.
Slightly grassy, earthy aroma with some resinous pine and floral hops but overall, the aroma of this beer is really weak for the style with a ton of malt sweetness in the nose. This was canned exactly two weeks ago and the hop presence is minimal at best. Some pine needle and spruce tip but its severely muted by lots of caramel sweetness, toffee and biscuit. Very disappointing.
On the fuller end of medium bodied with earthy hop bitterness thatís countered by a prominent sweet malt backbone. Again, there is some earthy/resinous, dry bitterness but the hops are almost completely overpowered by the strong malt flavors. Some grassy pine and sticky spruce tip followed by strong caramel sweetness, dark fruit, roasted nut, toffee and biscuit. Overall, this beer was a pretty big letdown for me. One dimensional hop profile and the malt character is way too strong for the style. Their pale ale is more complex, better balanced and possesses more interesting hop flavor. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Draught at the airport. Pours a mostly clear darker amber color with a moderate off white head on there. Nose has a bit of resin notes to it. Taste is nice and bitter, but has a weird sweetness on the finish. Ok, but not my favorite. olliejobbins (1578) - Dorking, Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 20, 2015
On tap at GBBF. Pours a hazy amber/orange with thin white head. Aroma is fresh hops, citrus fruits, grass and pine. Quite a sharp dry taste. Still, really nice. Pine, mango and citrus rind.
