330ml bottle - - Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam

Big gusher, big mess. Hazy orange, small head once the gush had subsided. Very perfumey nose once the sour rush passes. Extremely gay. Slightly thin body. Some subtle banana, not dominant. Very hoppy - quite spiky hallertau I would guess. Pretty yeasty, but on the whole a bit dull. Does cover the alcohol reasonably, though.

Courtesy of jdubFL. Thanks! Pours a light yellow color with a thin white head. Minimal retention or lacing. Aroma is caramel, ripe fruit, citrus, slight earthy floral muscat grape notes. Flavor is pleasant with notes of candy sugar, smarties candy, bananas alcohol, maybe even sweet tarts. Generally light body with fruity and tart finish. Interesting.

Tranquillity (2533) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 6, 2008
Thanks FatPhil! Banana, sweet candy in the aroma. Hoppy taste, banana and some apricot. Yellow-grey body, extreme head. Seriously huge one.

Courtesy of jdubFL, thanks Justin. Pours hazy gold with white head. The aroma starts with banana mixed with sweet/tart acidity and moving back to very ripe banana from time to time. The taste is full on banana going from perfectly ripe to over ripe and back again. The sweet/tart banana candy note shows up near midway and doesn’t let up to the point of being over powering.

afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - NOV 30, 2008
Bottle courtesy of Justin. Pours a hazy golden with a one finger white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of bananas, a touch of caramel, and spicy yeast. Taste is pilsner malt, banana, light caramel, and spicy yeast. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Different.

Ever since drinking the Dju Dju Banana beer, I have kept a bad memory of the banana themed beer.
Aroma is filled with banana and sultana (dried seedless grape).
The aftertaste leaves the lingering banana mouthfeel. Drink this one cold, because as it warms up the flavor reminded me a lot of spoiled babyfood (to just stay PC).
Overall, the beer is sweet / fruity, a change from the usual dark fruits or citrus, but the end result is just poor.

Pours a hazy straw color with sugary bananas of all sorts and sizes in the aroma. Flavor is banana, brown and white sugar, strawberry, and bubble gum in the flavor. The finish leaves a sweetness reminiscent of Smartees that lingers, but morphs into a tiny ounce of bitterness.

Ernest (7864) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 29, 2008

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy dark yellow, bottle conditioned.

Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of banana candy and honey, light note of plastic.

Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean.

Medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation, lightly alcoholic.

Smells kinda artificial (plasticky banana taffy), though it probably isn’t. The aftertaste is a bit tainted too. Not very enjoyable.

Ratman197 (15474) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 5, 2008
750 ml green bottle poured a clear golden yellow with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of banana, green apple, sultanas, light honey and light straw. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of basnana, green apple, sultana and light straw with a smooth lightly dry fruity fin\ish.

Miver (615) - Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 9, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 10, 2008 750ml bottle. poured a hazy golden orange in color with a fizzy white head. Aroma of bananas, yeasty funkiness, and pretty sweet. Taste of banana flavor runts candys, honey, cloves, and a mild amount of hops. Pretty sweet and fruity overall.
