Pours turbid orange with 2-finger head. Nose is dry florals, malt funk, banana, and honey. Tastes ion the sweet side, with solid banana flavor, some apricot, honey, hops, and slight funk. Better than I thought it might be. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2008
750ml Bottle: Sweet aroma. Smells of raisins, banana, spices, and a little toffee. Poured amber/orange in color with a large, creamy, dense, white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Full of medium and large particles. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of bananas, cream, fruit, spices, and some toffee. Medium body. Chalky texture. Soft carbonation. Dry, sweet, banana finish. Bottle from Belmont Station--Poured a hazy, chunky orange-golden body with a fluffy white head. Metallic, nutty, clove and real banana nose. Some bubblegum and skinky sulfur notes. Esters were not as bananay and pronounces as some Bavarian hefes. Got better as beer progressed, but overall, not as exciting or innovative as I had hoped. hopscotch (11045) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 2, 2008
Bottle… Cloudy yellow ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Decent retention. The sweet, musty aroma provides green apples, bananas and sultanas. Medium to full-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The yeasty, fruity flavor is all banana bread and sultana. Far more balanced than the aroma suggests. Nice, minerally hops. Finishes off modestly sweet and fruity. I think if they cut the raisins and stuck with the banana, orange and clove flavors, this would be more pleasing. I appreciate the dryness though and the alcohol is well hidden. The end result of this is bubble yum and there is a slight sulfur-like quality here. Its best served at a cold temperature as it gets a bit more cloying as it warms up. There is a good amount of carbonation and some sediment floating at the bottom. This is from the NEPA case split club.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2008 750ml bottle. Light and slightly cloudy golden color. Sweet banana aroma all the way. Sweet banana flavor as well. Really impressive beer for the style, earning points for not being syrup based. The alcohol lends an almost tripel-like quality to the beer, but the bananas and sultanas secure a nice smooth, sweet finish. Good stuff, worth a try if you are into fruit beers. A beautiful aroma of banana and toffee lures you in and the taste is predominantly of bananas with a rich, tangy aftertaste. It does get a bit too much by the end of the bottle but nice in small doses! BuckeyeSammy (617) - Palo Alto, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2007
How could anyone rate the aroma of theis beer below a 10. Unfiltered orange color. More banana aroma then taste, tart finish. Very enjoyable. Wouldnt be able to drink more then one in a night. would love to find this beer again. skortila (5793) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - OCT 3, 2006
Aroma is fruity, yeasty. Cloudy, yellow coloured with a lasting head. Taste is sweet, with a decent bitter finish. Yeast and banana appear in taste. Certainly not as bad as expected. Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - SEP 14, 2006
Nice flavour, and the aftertaste is very fruity. Some do not like it, but I think it is nice. A little yellow and dark in look.
