Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a brown head. Nose is sweet malts, dried fruit and caramel. Taste is slightly sweet with a sticky aftertaste- very drinkable, if lacking a bit of complexity. Smooth, light body and medium carbonation. FatPhil (17078) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 14, 2008

Deep reddy brown, tiny beige head. Poured clear, yeast stuck to bottom of bottle. I served this a little cold, alas. Despite the cold, I get a bit of smoke in the aroma. As it warms it heads towards a lovely sweet roasty coffee, and a hint of dark fruits. Lovely carbonation in the mouth, very soft. Body is quite refreshing, not watery as such, and certainly seemingly not carrying significant alcohol at all, nor cloyingly sweet. Beautiful rich roasty taste. There really is absolutely no alcohol in this at all. I strained, but still could not find it. Finish has quite a bitter bite, and the burntness stays too. Quite delicious - I would never turn down the offer of another one of these.
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2009 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a reddish, dark brown with a medium tan head and an aroma of malts, caramel, oak and some campfire. The flavor is mildly sweet and malty, with some notes of toffee. The finish is not bitter at all, more like you drank a whiskey 1,5 hour before. fonefan (51072) - VestJylland, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2008

Dark brown with a tan head, very bock-like. An interesting bock with pronounced sweet toffee malt with a lick of sour-dough bread in the finish leaving a sugary and salty aftertaste. Interesting and enjoyable.
Bottle at Chris_o Pre GBBF Shindig 08. The beer that made me say something I thought that I would never say, "Craig, can you give me the Horn." Attractive deep brown colour with lasting beige head. Strong syrupy malt. OK, but not too sweet, even though I really expected it too be super sweet. KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - AUG 3, 2008
Hazy brown with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with mild chocolate, caramel and breadish notes. Ends sweet. thewolf (12801) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUN 4, 2008
[thank you, skortila/caesar]
Pours deep dark red with a staying, creamy, off-white head. A good deal of small floaties. Aroma has dark rum, raisins, light chocolate and roasted malts. High carbonation, good mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, perhaps a bit underwhelming, some roasted malts, light chocolate finish, some slight hops. A good bock, but not exceptional.
