Regular Dutch bock beer. Sweet and spicey. Bit better than all the bock’s from the big breweries. Christos (5889) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - FEB 13, 2013
330 ml bottle, poured into my snifter glass. ABV 8.5%
It pours a very dark brown/chestnut colour, with a thin line of beige head. Not that high retention of course and the size of the head didn’t allow for any lacing left behind, but it does look nice and promising.
On the nose mostly clove but after letting it warm up a bit and giving it a swirl, some chocolate and roasted malts aroma surfaced.
Lots of chocolate on the taste too. Slighty sweet, untill the roasted malts flavours kick in, giving it a pleasant light bitter taste, which covers quickly some traces of acidic sourness on the background.
Thin to medium body, light carbonation.
Overall, a very nice bock beer.
