Aroma of malts, some fruits, herbs, especially nutmeg and clove. Flavour is malty sweetness and very herbal, not to my liking.

Hard to say anything nice abou that one. Well, if you are into medicine and like drinking that stuff - then this drink is exaclty yours.

McTapps (6976) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - FEB 4, 2014
Pours out of the bottle (with many thanks to Douberd!) in a cloudy amber colour with steady low head and medium body. Aroma of acid and Belgian yeast. Taste of straw, medicine, malt, acid, torf and nuts. Herbal finish. Not really nice to drink and not very easy to drink as well.

Copeper with lasting off-white foam head. Aroma is little weak, barley. Taste realy bitter, although some sweet floral notes. Bittersweet aftertaste. (Velp 201401)

Bottle, 330 ml, into a tulip glass. ABV 7% Bright golden orage colour on the body, a little less than two fingers of white head on top. Good retention, medium lacing let on the glass. Aroma of yeast and spices as expected from this brewery, cinammon and clove. Fruity notes coming from the back, of peaches and apricot, trying to breath under all the spices. Taste has lots of cinammon too, even more cloves, malts, sugar, light yeast. Faithful to the tripel profile except for thespices of course where they overdid it once again. Still, the end result is quite good. Medium body, good carbonation. Overall an interesting beer, yes I will mention the spices again, too much of them, sometimes less is more.

33 cl fles. @home. Lekker speciaal bier. Er zit wel erg veel kruidnagel in. Je ruikt het en je proeft het.

Fles 30 cl. Kleur goudgeel niet helemaal helder. Geur kruifig en mouy. Smaak kruidnagel. Bijzondere toevoeging. Smaakt positief.

Standard Belgian style tripe. Body is thin and makes the beer not very taste, a bit boring actually.
