Thick off white head. Clear deep amber pour. Lots of liquorice. Nice brew. jmgreenuk (9984) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JUN 30, 2013
Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark chocolate brown colour with a broken off-white head. The aroma is of liquorice and alcohol. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with liquorice, roasted malt and dark chocolate. That yeast sticks around along with some very bitter hoppy notes well into the finish. It’s a nice enough beer but I’d be using a different yeast if I were the brewer.
