Won gold medal at WBA for best European Imperial IPA Hop is een belangrijke smaakmaker in bier en bovenal is hop gezond.

Trappist1's rating

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 12/20
Trappist1 (646) - Diest, - APR 7, 2014
Dark orange color, thick full off-white head. Nose: malts (bit unfresh), some hops but less than what you would expect. Some spices (coriander?), overall, this nose disappoints. Taste: malt, spices, hop, pretty straight forward. Some slight hop bitterness, soft body, almost creamy MF. Overall, not the "hopla" you would expect. feels like an average beer, but nothing great or new here. Would not call this an IPA.

basjansen14 (449) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 19, 2017

33cl bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 19-07-2015.

In short: cheesy "IPA"?.
Pours little hazy dark gold with frothy white head. Long head retention, poor lacing. Cheesy, yeasty nose. Medium body, high carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is bitter, herbal, some harsh due to overcarbonation.

DwarfeD (3540) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - DEC 18, 2016
33cl bottle shared at home. Pale golden with a medium white soapy head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice bitterness with some fruity sweetness. Citrus, pine, caramel and malts. OK brew.

@Proeflokaal Mout, Groningen with #Deanso, gouden oranje met witte kraag. aroma van hoppig, sinaasappel, zoet, mout. Smaken zijn lekker hoppig, fruitig, zoet, sinaasappel, matig bitter, goede body.

Michael27 (2280) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 19, 2016

oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 27, 2016
Bottled. Yellowish amber colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is fruity, some mild spruce, sweet malts as well as some wooden notes. Flavour is quite similar with a nice sweetish bitter finish.

McWorta (1633) - LUXEMBOURG - AUG 27, 2016
Orange light amber with a dark white fine poring head. Aromas of hay, bit toffee with dank grass, green leaves, orange zest and a splash of lychee and elderflower develops. Fine carbonation, lightly slick with a slender body. Briskly sweet with a solid hop bitterness developing. Lasting dry finish bordering on the astringency.

Lore (2863) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 27, 2016
opalescent orange colour, huge, creamy yellowish off-white head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of grapefruit, overripe mango and passion fruit, some resiny and floral notes, biscuits and hints of apple; bittersweet taste with overripe fruitiness, biscuity-caramel notes and some alcohol; lovely beer! I would be able to drink it everyday! :-)

avdboom (9) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2016 does not count
Aroma’s: fresh citrus, Granny Smith apple and some floral hints. Nice! Apearance: golden collour, slightly hazy and slightly short lasting white head. Taste: medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Palate: medium body and creamy texture. Average carbonation and light bitter finish. A nice IPA but it could have used a bit more bitter (or less sweet, but then it would be a light IPA) for my liking. Bot not bad nontheless!

Guruhso (817) - Grindsted, DENMARK - APR 20, 2016
Bottle. Light malty aroma but Heavy hoppy aroma of citrus, pine and orange-peel. Floral. The flavours starts slightly sweet, but finish heavy bitter with long duration. The body is medium and the texture is juicy. Average carbonation. Not bad!
