One just has to love a place like this. They have a wonderful place to sell beers from, and could easily make a fortune from selling mainstream lagers. But instead they make their own beer, and thats all they sell in the bar.
Yellow, with no head. Has a quite weak aroma from malts and hops. Hoppy flavor, a little metallic and with a long bitter finish. rauchbier (3949) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2004
Tap, ZBF 2004. Gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Low sweet malt and gentle grassy hop notes in the nose. Hop flavour low but dominant in the mouth with some grain and a tingle of carbonation. Moderate hop bitter finish. Why does the presence of the word special in a name normally mean ordinary.

[Draught] Yellow coloured. Quite a good pilsener. It is crisp, bitter and fresh. Ungstrup (38856) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 14, 2004
[Draft at ZBF 2004] A clear yellow beer with a beutiful dense head. The aroma is light - of sweet malt. The flavor is that of a pilsener; malty and hoppy. This is a very simple pilsener - nothing wrong - nothing special. Though very refreshing. dirkbreedveld (289) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 10, 2004
my first impression on this Brussel lager is that it's watery beer.
Some malts some hopps and to dark for a lager

This beer has a yellow body - hue apperance and a little bit light brown scum collar. I have drunk the beer from the barrel and it had a no carbonic acid. The initial flavor tast was to water. A typical Belgium Pilsener.

Pils on the menu, not Kolsch. Also, alcohol listed at 6%, not 5%. Refreshing malt aroma, some bitterness. Same for flavor. Good refreshing beer. dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2003
This beer reminded me alot of Denison's Bavarian Hell. Beautiful balance with a delicate hop bouquet and full bodied. Malt notes in flavour and aroma. Very well done. JorisPPattyn (10111) - BELGIUM - APR 1, 2003
Clear straw colour; white head, lacy. Nose of pale malt, grain. Subdued taste of malt, building a sweetish-malt underbuild. Slightly sourish impression from carbonation. Fizzy. Empty palate. OK for a pils (SORRY Pivo&Nath - but that's what the menu tells us), but... pivo (2689) - GERMANY - JAN 6, 2003
Caramelly tastes go along with the amber color. Too bad it has a cardboardy aftertaste. Like the brewers are experimenting or new to the profession. Thin, young, not good.
