COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unlike many other unblended oude lambik, there exists both draft and bottled versions of De Cam Oude Lambiek.

Please note the age of the sample you are reviewing when entering your rating. While many factors determine whether you have had "Jonge" or "Oude" Lambik, a general rule of thumb is to enter 1 year-old or older lambik under "De Cam Oude Lambiek" and anything less than 6 months-old under "De Cam Jonge Lambiek".

For those between 6 and 12 months of age, you should take in to consideration the character of the lambik. Samples presenting themselves as hazy/cloudy, with some head-formation and residual sugar should be entered as "Jonge Lambik", while those that are drier, higher in clarity and with little/no head formation should be entered as "Oude Lambik".

750 ml bottle courtesy of Secret santa. Thanks. Pours a cloudy amber color with minimal head that instantly vanishes away. Perhaps this is a Jonge Lambik. The aroma is disgusting with extra funky horse blanket, whores dirty sheets and some barnyard bouquet--very nice. The flavor, like the aroma, is overtly funky with overripe fruits, cider, spoiled tart green apples, bit of sugar, oak and cedar. The palate is full and smooth with very soft carbonation. Finishes long and tart. Overall: I loved this, funkiest beer I’ve had in a long time. Thanks Santa you clearly went above and beyond to get me this.

Dégustation Manseau printemps 2017. Bouteille 2000-2005. Une robe jaune sans mousse, rien de surpreant. Un nez de pain de mie, de fromage ou autre pourriture avec du vomi et du moisi. Une bouche fort agréable avec des notes de fromages (moissisure) ronde et sans acidité. Franchement succulente.

Pours a clear straw to light copper colour with no head. Funky aroma with lemons, cheese, light barnyard. The taste is barnyardy, stone fruits, light mineral peach, dry brett, mineral and stoney, flinty. Aftertaste is dry, funky acidic. Mouthfeel is light to medium with a very light fizz.

Sweet white grape aroma, sour and with a little vinegar. Cranberry and white wine accents. Almost clear gold under thin white wisps. Very sour flavour that develops into white wine, a little oaky vinegar, and a clean finish. Medium light body, mouth puckering, at first, moderate carbonation.
