There is one beautifuly looking ale pouring into glass-smokey carameled color with very rich foam that lasts till the last drop. The dry hopped effect is little bit over the taste notes that I suspect for saison. Not actually belgian-enough palate, missing the frehsness of classic saison. But overall the resin, floral notes and rich citrus aroma makes it a nice hoppie ale.

Bière avec un soupçon d’orange, ça aurait mérité un peu plus d’arôme et de goût fruité mais elle est quand même agréable en bouche. Un bon 14.

06-06-2017; bottle; at home (bought at Saveur Bière, as part of their May discovery box). The looks of the beer are very good. The beer has a lovely peach color. The satin cloudiness gives it really a peach appearance. For a saison it is rather orange and red, but who cares. The beer pours a lot of really a lot. It was difficult getting all in the glass. The foam is rough, offwhite (slightly orange) and has good retention. Some lacing is left behind on the glass. The smell of the beer isn’t extremely special. I smell some strong and lear malts, with a bit of a bready touch. On top of this I smell some hops, giving a nice bitterness and some saison like spicy aroma’s. There is a nice refreshing touch of orange zest, which gives the beer some nice extra freshness. I also smell a nice touch of yeast, giving the smell a tiny creaminess. I like it, but it is a little bit to mild. Could have been a bit stronger. The taste of the beer is nice. It has some of the familiar saison features, but also some flavours that remind me of a Belgian Ale. There is a nice and firm maltiness, some fruity hops, with are also bitter and a bit dry, spices and a nice extra touch of orange zest, giving it just that extra kick. The dry and spicy hops are clearly saison like, whilst the malts give a Belgian Ale touch. Nice combination and well balanced. It is a bit more robust and divers than your regular saison. But if your looking for a simple and clear saison, this isn’t the one. It is a bit more for the connoisseur I guess. The palate is fine. Medium body, smooth and very strongly carbonated. The finish is nice and contains some extra orange zest, bitter and spicy hops and a nice citric touch. Malts aren’t clearly present in the finish. The bitterness stays around for a nice period of time, which really invites to take another sip. All in all, a very nice beer, but not entirely style specific (in my eyes) and there could have been a bit more orange in it. But, it is balanced as is, so maybe they shoaling change it.

330ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)
Lovely fresh fruity aroma, pale malts, a touch floral and herby, some citrus, but something apricotty too. Do I get some coconutty hint? Light palate, carbonation a little high. Floral hopping, again some apricot and citrus. Finish has a pleasant bitter bite, alas a bit brief, I’d have liked more. Light and refreshing, very tasty brew, full of character, but so uplifting.

Bottle (from koht). Pours amber with huge whiteish head. Aroma is nice clean saison yeast, fruits, apricots. Flavor is sweet and bitter, fruits, citrus, apricots. Finish is dry-citric bitter and fruity. Carbonation is on the high side. Overall: good, bit too sweet (despite the dryness).

Découverte dans la Saveur Box. Bière ambrée avec mousse abondante. Très belle visuellement. Nez fruitée et épicée. Une bouche acide et amère et épicée. Pas trop conquis.

matzou (188) - SPAIN - MAY 14, 2017
Gusher Citrus, orange, pepper, light tropical fruit Hazy orange Amber body high off white creamy head lasting. Light grainy malt light sweetness immediately balanced by a medium high bitterness, hint of citrus orange, light pepper. Light fruitiness. Medium body with high carbonation, having a light creaminess and yet a dry finish. Overall iam very pleased with this beer the opposite of boring, only drawback would be the lingering bitterness maybe cause by the orange pith more than the hop Very good

DutchMark (395) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 9, 2017
Perfect sample of a good saison. Deep yellow with a good head and ample soft carbonation. Aroma is floral. Flavor is yeast, malts floral hops and spices. The flavor is pronounced but not heavy. Very drinkable subtle saison.
