Bottle 660ml. @ Tasting by Benzai [ ZZT V ].
[ Bottle # 6408 ]. Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caraeml, wood, peat, alcohol - whisky. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, oak, peat, medicine, whisky. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO. a bit to much - for me !!
Best aroma i have smelled this year, huge smoke, meat, yeast and oak, just wow!! Whiskey factor on the palate, but alao very belgian. My beer of the year, wow factor over the roof erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - OCT 7, 2012
Brown bodied with creamy tan lace. Lots of whiskey smoke, some nuts and toast. Alcoholic whisky taste but more moderate than expected. Very decent, even though I don’t like too much whiskey normally. (At ZZT V) Benzai (17000) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2012
75cl bottle @ ZZT V. Great dark brown to red color with a red glare coming through. Smell malts, roasted malts, coffee and earth. Taste malts, roasted malts, some bitterness, lightly sweetish, some peat. Like it more than I expected.

66 cl. split side by side with the Peated version courtesy of Dylan/Kraddel // obtained in a trade thx. to Tinus // Peated one is absolutely round, sweet honey-like especially next to this one, way different from what I remember it being // wrapped in a red giftwrapping paper just like its brethren // only the Ardberg sticker differentiating it & obviously the impossible to mistake with anything else taste // dark brown, touches of black, tanned head // smell encompasses all of the idiosyncratic-ness of this kinds of beers, it is pure medicinal, this belongs in a freaking medicinal cabinet not in a glass, does this disinfect? pure Islay medicinal smell and oh yeah it is peated as well, some malt underneath there as well, it draws you in // taste is sweet soft chcolate malts, milk chocolate sweetness, soft milk chocolate intertwining with medicinal Ardberg, creamy, touch berries, base beer despite or regardless of the thick medicinal Ardberg layer is still very clear, soft ripe dark fruits // smooth and damn creamy // I have been critical of these kinds of beer, despite the heavy whiskey this is excellent and I cannot stop drinking it & it is not only yummy but it is weird also, def bonus // recommended - favorite version so far. kraddel (9436) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 27, 2012
