Goede alcohol nasmaak. Erg goed.

Bottle, bought @ Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte. Pours clear dark chestnut with a large, staying, creamy beige head. Aroma has caramel, lots of fat smoke, raisins, a soft milky chocolate note. Medium carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has iodine, smoke, raisins, soft chocolate, light tartness. Quite malty bitter with some viniousness.

Dark brown colour. Aroma has lots of very intense peat and smoke. Taste is earthy, bitter, salty, smokey, oaky. Intensity of the peat and smoke too high.

Countbeer (6589) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized and slowly changing beige foamy head on top of a deep dark almost clear ruby colored beer Aromas of wood, iodine, bandage, hospital, peat, earth, tobbacco, some liquorice wood, some roast and some peppers. Flavours of peat, iodine, smoke, bandage, spicy, some earth, toffee, roast, wood, some liquorice wood, hint of vanilla, creamy and some tobacco. Aftertaste is peat with iodine, malt roast, light spicy, some wood and some sweet smoke. Low carbo, close to silky mouthfeel, full body and a thick creamy texture. Awesome beer, in balance, smooth but complex Ardbeg aromas and flavours and a great mouthfeel and body. Chapeau!

Sample at SBWF 2013. Almost black with a tan head. A lot of whisky both in the aroma and taste. Also tar, oak, dried fruit and light smoke. Almost full body and with a long aftertaste. Tasty!

660ml bottle at home. Deep brown with a medium off-white head. A complex body with medium carbonation. Smoke, wood, charcoal, Islay, herbs. Although I prefer the Blended version, this is great full flavoured whisky beer.

Bottle. Black with offwhite head. Medicinal Islay aroma, iodine galore. Iodine takes the lead in the mouth, moderate smokiness, some fruit. Very interesting.
