Vertical with Ardbeg
A total gusher. Aroma has strong peat tones and sweet licorice. Flavour has sweet peaty notes, herbal tones, some licorice and whisky tones. The overwhelming peat eats some of the pleasantness of this beer but this is still good.
tiong (8076) - Espoo, FINLAND - DEC 17, 2016650ml bottle. Gusher alert! Bottled JUN 2013. Vertical with Ardbeg BA version. Pours reddish brown with a smooth head. Aroma of peat, wood, oak, hints of malts, berries and leather. Taste is oaky, peaty and sweetish with some leather, wood, berries and toffee. Finish is sweet, malty and earthy with some berries, loads of peat, wood and oak. A bit unbalanced, a total peat overdose compared to the Ardbeg version.

Vestergaard (2091) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2016From Bottle @fonefan gueuze tasting Ulfborg, thanks to fonefan - june 24th 2016. Pours a murky dark reddish brown with a big, off white head. Aroma has lots of smoke, peat, other words for smoke, but can’t really find other words for it. Smells pretty good though, since it’s pretty close to laphroaig. Taste is somewhat sweet, peaty, fat. Peat hides alcohol really well. Has a high carbonation and a light body for the ABV. Simple but nice...... HOW IS THIS NOT A SMOKED?!
