erikaraeb (224) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 11, 2017
Smooth aromas of red wine, toffee, and dried cherries gives way to flavours of raisin, caramel, and peat with just the right balance of sweetness. Lovely mouthfeel, not at all syrupy. Clean, bitter finish with lingering warm fruit tastes. Delicious, dark, quad-like beer.

330ml bottle pours opaque brown with thin tan head. Strong aromas of cocoa, stone fruit, caramel malt and tobacco. Flavours of toffee, roasted malt, espresso, dried fruit, ash and herbal characters. Medium carbonation and good depth of flavour mask the 9% alc vol reasonably well. Long finish with a decent whack of espresso bitterness that retards any residual sweetness.

Silvan7 (1244) - Samarate, ITALY - APR 24, 2017
Bottle @ Barley House. Corposa, poco carbonata, rotonda, calda. Molto equilibrata, decisamente armonica.

AtronSeige (1538) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - APR 11, 2017
Aroma: Medium molasses, sweet. Medium-light tobacco, licorice, plum, toast, rich bready. Appearance: Dark red body with fine particles. Small, light-brown head. Fair retention. Flavour: Medium licorice, molasses, cherry. Medium-light bitterness, Light smokiness, spiciness. Dry finish with lingering light woody, licorice. Light alcoholic sting. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-low carbonation. Light warming. Overall: Balanced slightly towards the sweetness, but the beer still finishes dry. Head size and retention is quite low for the style. 330 ml bottle, poured. 26D. Belgian Dark Strong Ale

Lele (556) - Padova, ITALY - MAR 31, 2017
Aspetto: marrone scuro con bellissimi riflessi tra rubino e mogano. Schiuma beige, fine, non particolarmente abbondante, ma persistente. Aroma: liquorosa, ma anche di alcool puro. Pane dolce, tipo pan d'épices, speziato. Gusto: molto liquoroso, caramello, pan d'epices. Molto buona, dopo un po' abbastanza monocorde. Carbonizzazione media, corpo strutturato. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
