From bottle, pours a clear and sparkling orange-gold with lush, sturdy white foam. Very pretty. Nose of honeyed malt, maybe slightly oxidized, layered with sweet blossoms, tart citrus candy, and a bit of earthy pine. Rather sweet up front, rolling steadily via lively bubbles into a strong, fairly resinous bitterness that sticks to the tongue. Rather malty but the lively carbonation gives the deceptive impression that this is something lighter and more delicate. Hop aroma somewhat less compelling than with other Dochter beers. Still plenty of entertainment here though.

330ml bottles pours cloudy amber with thick foamy off-white head. Aromas of caramel malt, fudge, orange and stone fruit. Tastes of toffee, marzipan, citrus hops, pear, apricot, Belgian yeast, ash, pepper and spices. Full-bodied creamy mouthfeel. Long finish with mild bitterness. Fantastic brew!

Purchased from the Introductory Pack by the Aussie International Beer Collector. Not the greatest fan of IPA’s and the like so entered this day refrigerating and honestly not expecting a great deal. Poured into a chalice, and didn’t it work the glass. Took a sniff and passion fruit. Got the wife to smell too coz her nose is better than mine and she, for the first time ever, agreed. Amber in colour, good looking head. I’m excited. First sip and bang, an array of sensations. Seeetness, caramel, bitterness (which I dislike) but then sweetness again. I guess that’s called balance. For a D-IPA I think this is the best ever (I’m new but might take a lot of topping). This is a delight. You win I’m out.

A bottle shared with friends at Pivoteka Zagreb in autumn 2017. Thanks! Murky dark golden, small off-white head. Aroma hops are gone here, this is old. Malty, candy, toasty and cardboard. Sweet and lousy. Strong, awful, medium body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Count this rate as a statistical error, as I see the beer is otherwise good. Would love to try a fresh one!

Bottled 330ml. -from Magic Beer Room Zagreb. Dark golden coloured, medium sized white head, fruity hoppy nose. Sweet malty, slightly perfumed hoppy, notes of fruits and alcohol with some caramel in bitterish/sweet finish. Alcohol again in the finish.

Bottle, 33cL. 8.5%. Purchase ("La Cervoiserie", @Poitiers, FR). Home. A sparkling yellow-orange clear beer with a medium retention ; good lacing. Tropical fruits, light caramel, alcohol notes, resin. Medium round sweet, light sugary, medium warming, medium dry lasting bitter. Good body, light to medium oily texture, average carbonation, bittersweet dry resinous dry finish. Overall, great ! Maybe sugary, but I liked it. Balanced.
