Nog zon favoriet van mij. Een zeer goede smaak, kleur en schuimkraag. Een toppertje.

Hazy golden, average head that vanishes quickly and leaves almost no lacing. Strong malt sugars caramel, slightly floral and spicy. Sweet, with a subdued dry and bitter finish. A warming sweet strong ale.

Bottle 33cl. Hazy orange with a big white head. Fruity, malty aroma. At first this comes over as a "fresh" trippel, if you can talk about a fresh trippel styled beer. This well hopped beer gives it a nice touch which I describe as refreshing. Many trippels are very malty and almost sweet, which this one is not. Medium length.

Nose is unusually dusty/ cereal. Something of the street-market-grilled BBQd fish or sweetcorn fritter coming through. Fruity, light, clean and very, little touch of bourbon biscuits. Must be some pale/ pilsener malts? Very deftly hides away the 8.5% ABV, possibly via too much fizz. A dried barley signoff. V refined, but a bit too pinched/ metallic to be great Rare the beer that puts you in mind of a judiciously BBQd fish and you dont decide to stop drinking it halfway through the bottle.

66cl bottle. Cloudy orangish colour with a nice off-white head. Good retention. Grain, light fruit, grassy and malt in the aroma. Average to high frizzy carbonation and medium body. Taste is masked by the eccessive carbonation and more on the sweet side. Overall, a nice beer but a bit heavy.

thanatosti (1584) - Culemborg, NETHERLANDS - MAR 31, 2015
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Tiel. Hazy dark golden with a white head. Fruity aroma with some malts/grains. Fairly bitter with a heavy malt undertone. Atypical tripel.

Beautifull Tripelbeer. Golden coloured with a decent bright white head. Grains, Bread, caramel, a bit of grass and hint of nuttyness. Smotth bitterness in the finish. Great beer.
