The ChrisO small midweek tasting. Cloudy amber beer, decent pale tan head. Woody dry beer - fairly sour. A little light smoke. It’s all right.
Bottle at Max’s. Clear chestnut color, medium white head that settles quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma of moldy dates. Taste begins with dark fruits, turns sour and dry, bitter/smoky edge, but subtle. Complex and interesting. Leighton (21239) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2012
Bottle at a Chriso tasting, London - thanks to Bruce for this bottle. Pours hazy gold with a frothy, white head. Big tangy aroma, some peach. Medium sweet flavor, fairly sweaty and funky, with a bit of overripe orange. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Medium sweet finish with some rindy citrus bitterness, mellow sourness, sweat, funk, soft pale malts. Very nice.
