This already quite unique barley-wine was aged for 250 days in Italian Montalcino red wine barrels of the winery Castelnuovo Tancredi.
In this process the beer got the best of both worlds, making it a true Barley Wine.
You can enjoy this beer ’as is’ or combine it perfectly with chocolate or cheese.

Bottle 33cl. Drak brown with a foamy light brown head. Wine, malty aroma with some vanille. The barrel ageing definite improved the beer. It's now soft rounded, not over sweet, but extremely rich. And then the bitterness sets in. Long finish, bitter and vanille.

Nische (2799) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 2, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 Bottle from Etre. Deep copper with a beige head. Ripe fruits, rounded grape vinous taste to it, a lot of molasses, caramel and some vanilla. Full bodied, rounded and delicious.

Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, consumed at home Christmas Day 2017 in the company of Dad and Isobel. Whilst planning how to make Mille Feuille Pours very dark brown with a ruby hue, strong, really warming, but with a good port like sweetness throughout. Soft, fruity, a little tart and tangy with dried fruit, demerara sugar, it's a bit boozy but wonderful, really lovely and it does feel Christmassy. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Flaska i de Dochter mixpack från Systembolaget. Mörkt brunröd med beige skum. Söt och lite syrlig doft med aprikos, karamell och lite rödvin. Ganska torr men ändå söt smak.
