COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2008 Bottle. Hazy honey color, scant head, bad retention. Flavor is tinny, sweet and mellow, apricot notes. Flavor is overly sweet, nectar, pear, one dimensional. Mouthfeel is bubbly and silky, good fresh characters. I was a bit let down by this, above average, but not amazing. Rerate - better than I remember. Mellow, well balanced, and super chewy triple. Doughy with tons of floaters. Much better than I remember. Rerate - tremendous, great balance, super beer.

Bottle from Appellation Wines Dalry. Pours slightly hazy orange with beige head in wide Rochefort glass. Nose is orange peel, sweet candied sugar and caramel, fruits and light spices. Taste is sweet caramel, slight sugary, hoppy bitter, dried fruits. Solid performer.

Bottle 2013 date, nice copper color with big white head, nice amount of carbonation, aroma is pleasant with substantial malt, honey essence, spices with clove and some faint nutmeg..mouthfeel is insanely smooth yet deep and complex, lacing on chalice is top notch, really enjoyable tripel that brings some alcohol legs on the finish, tasting great after 3 yrs..

Bottle from the Bottle Shop in Bruges. Pours hazy golden with an off white head. Aroma of yeast and citrus. The taste has spice, orange and lemon citrus, yeasty bread and a nice bitter finish that lingers. Well hidden alcohol. Nice full mouthfeel. Good stuff.

Bottled, 330ml, aged 8yrs from my Anniversary collection given by Sandra and sourced by Fin, a Christmas Eve treat. Hazy gold to amber with short beige head. There is a huge Belgian yeast note right from the start, candied pear drop flavours, spicy with an earthy hopped character. There is a drying, bittering element along with a resinous note. Rich and boozy. Super beer.

Golden, a bit hazy, with a rocky very long lasting head. Aroma of pepper, clove, banana, peach, apple, grape. As the time goes on the bouquet expands with mature fruit. At last there are some honey and caramel from the malt and some floral hints of the hops which are somehow hidden by the aromas of the yeast. It’s 10% ABV but not ethilic at all, it gives you just some reassuring warming and a sudden rush of happiness while you drink. Medium bodied, fizzy, medium sweetness. Not so much to say: one of the top five beers I’d bring to a desert island. Gorgeous.
