Quasimodo (217) - chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 22, 2013
Bottled in 2010. A dark brown stout with a short and creamy tan head. Nice and roasty chocolate malt aroma. Flavor is soft chocolate malt and mild raisin with a slightly tangy finish. Mild bitterness and sweetness. Relatively thin body with a creamy mouthfeel. Well hidden ABV. The flavor could be a little more robust.

Bottle at De Heeren van Liedekercke, shared with Anke and Pieter. Labeled 9%.
Pours cloudy black with a lasting, frothy, beige head. The aroma contains licorice, roasted malt, coffee, caramel, hops & spices. It tastes medium to heavy sweet and medium spicy bitter, ending dry & hoppy. Full body, slick/oily texture, fizzy to lively carbonation. Perhaps too "lively on the tongue", and though it's overall very good, the finish is too hoppy to my taste.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey shared by DCLawyer, thanks Jason! Black with light tan head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, cocoa, malt, chocolate. Tastes of cocoa, milk chocolate, malt. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Een zwartgeblakerd mouterige stout. Bittere, zwarte chocoladesmaak, toetsen van tabak en koffie. De gebrande mout overheerst iets teveel voor mij. goede dronk afdronk, zwaar degustatiebier.

vinivini (2818) - Gomel, BELARUS - AUG 10, 2017
Bottle. Opaque deep brown ale with big tan frothy head. Excellent lacing. Aroma: esters, roasted malts, chocolate, dried fruit, minor spice. Medium body. Medium dry taste. Lots of roastiness, dark chocolate, coffee. Dried fruit. A hint of smoke. Alcohol is perfectly hidden. Dangerously drinkable.

matbli (450) - Poznan, POLAND - JUL 23, 2017
Bottle, cloudy dark brown with fast falling beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate cherries, coffee, nuts and some wine’ish notes. In taste medium sweetness with some light roasty bitterness and a slightly sour finish. The carbonation is a bit to high imo but all in all it’s a very pleasant and good drinkable stout.

sharkydodson (1750) - St. Petersburg, RUSSIA - JUN 2, 2017
the aroma is caramel and fruity with hints of vanilla, toffee, milk chocolate and licorice... the taste is caramel and chocolate with notes of toffee, cocoa, dried plum, fig and brown sugar... sweet and dry aftertaste..

erikaraeb (263) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 23, 2017
Bitter and malty. Almost a quad-stout hybrid with a touch of dried fruit. Tons of head for a dark beer. Mild, almost absent copper aroma.

janubio (909) - SPAIN - APR 26, 2017
Black colour, with a brown head with medium retention. Not much lace. Aroma of dark fruits, plums, figs, chocolate, licorice, some coffee. Medium body, silky palate, normal carbonation. Taste of chocolate, dark fruits, some coffee, plums. Wellbalanced, not specially the best stout I’ve tried. I hoped more coming from De Dolle. Correct.

Echon (535) - Århus, DENMARK - APR 12, 2017
Black. Spicy and yeasty, with a strong and pungent flavour. Lightly sweet taste with tart notes, that ends with a dry, boozy, lightly bitter and ashy finish. Medium body, and foamy carbonation. Overall, a somewhat decent strong ale. The pungent, yeasty flavour and rather dry taste are at odds with the roasted malt.

alvaro78 (585) - Sevilla, SPAIN - APR 12, 2017
pocos aromas a torrefacto y maltas oscuras Aspecto normal, espuma poco persistente. En boca bastante plana y sin cuerpo
