Brown amber colour, white head. Quite sour aroma, wood, caramel, some funk. Light sour flavour, wood, malts, rather astringent. Finish astringent with quite a bit of wood.
The age shows through, but it’s nice to have been able to taste the oerbier reserva from it’s first year.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2018 Bottle from Beermarchants.com. Colour is murky brown with reddish shades and a thin off white head. Nose is big malt vinegar sour, balslamic vinegar sour, brown apple flesh, white apple vinegar. It’s a lot of malty vinegary sour. Some barbecued meat and pickled vegetable. Taste is pickled chutney, malt vinegar, red wine vinegar. Super sour! Red wine vinous.

Запах породистый, приятный. Что то между Бельгийским и кислым элям. Вкус очень тяжелый, даже слишком. Также пиво безумно газированное. Из из этой крепости и тяжести слегка теряется сам вкус, который весьма приятен. Чувствуются ягоды, квашенная кислота и кислота яблок. Хотя при этом мне показалось что в этом пиве кислота вкуса слишком велика.

Bottle, pours deep red brown with a foamy off white head. Aroma is sour cherry, red grape and cherry yoghurt, caramel and chocolate malts, body is light medium, texture is creamy, subtle yet complex sweet taste with airy palate leading into short sour dry finish.

2015 vintage. Deep reddish brown, nice layer of beige head. Awesome de Dolle yeast aroma, sour apple vinegar and wood barrel on the nose. Warming, well carbonated, medium sour, more apple vinegar and wood chips. Finish is very malty, doughy, some dry red wine. Complex and really balanced. I wasn't the biggest fan of the regular Oerbier and in fact this is not my alltime fav either, however the oak barrel aging adds a lot of dimension. A nice one to try, especially if you like a red wine character in a strong ale.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2017 Amberkleurig, off-white schuimkraag. Mooi zurig aroma. Vineus, houterig, zuurtje, zoetje, eik, rood fruit. Diepe volle smaak, lange afdronk. Zeer geslaagd bier.

Thanks to Vince_88. Rocznik 2013. W aromacie wszystko pięknie jak pod linijkę w stylu - czerwone wytrawne wino, dębina i lekka wanilia. Smak: czerwone wino, drewno po beczce, winogrona, figi, wanlia, kwaśne, lekko dzikie, cierpkie, ale delikatnie, alkohol - co?! to chyba nie ma alkoholu, klasa tak ukryć 13%! Teraz się wstydzę, że dałem 4.5 dla Chateau Artezana. Tu nie może być niżej.

A 330ml bottle, brewed in 2015 and bottled in April 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a dark brownish red colour with a two finger tanned head that had pretty good retention and left some sparse lacing. Aromas were tart, sour, cherry, vinous, red wine, vinegar and oak with hints of almond/marzipan at times. Tastes sweet and sour, tart, vinous, red wine, cherry, fig, vinegar and oak. Dry, medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Overall, nice complexity, aroma and taste. Quite surprised that it’s supposed to be 13% ABV as you certainly don’t feel it while drinking.

Botella en Vivalabirra (Oviedo) cerveza bastante compleja, al menos para mi experiencia actual, olor ácido y afrutado, sabor afrutado y algo maltoso donde el toque ácido predomina pero no molesta, muy buena cerveza!
